Fifty-two ladies played in the Friendship Cup competition at Co Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 29 June 2022.
The Cup had been presented to the Ladies’ Branch in 2022 by June Humphries, Flo McCall and Joy Steenson and the greensomes competition was very generously sponsored by Dante’s Restaurant.
Lady Captain Lily McMullan welcomed a large number of ladies to prize-giving extending a special welcome to fellow-golfer Fionnuala Oliver, representing Dante’s Restaurant and invited her to present the prizes.
The delighted winners of the competition were Lynne Brown and Ruth Black with 42 pts. Geraldine Rafferty and Bernie Rice were second with 40 pts and Hilary Johnston and Moya Brady took the hotly contested third place with 39 points, beating the pairings of Sheila Hughes and Toni McManus and Anne O’Hea and Donna Carolan on the better back nine.
June Humphries presented Lynne and Ruth with the cup.
9 hole stableford
A further 15 ladies played in the 9 hole stableford competition which was won by Maria-Claire Quinn with 20 pts. Gladys Villiers was second with 18 pts.

The Get Into Golf 9 hole competition was won by Gillian Wright with 57.
