On Thursday 19 September, ninety-five ladies played in the annual McAnerney’s Charity Open Stableford Competition which was once again very generously sponsored by McAnerney’s Supermarket, Armagh.

As has become customary, the sponsor, Mrs Catherine McAnerney held a coffee morning that day in aid of Newry Hospice, raising a fantastic £1255 for the very worthy cause.

Co Armagh ladies competed alongside more than 20 visiting ladies for the cup and voucher prizes, with proceeds from the golf going towards the Cancer Fund for Children.

It was a beautiful sunny day and the Competition Scratch Score 70.
