Co Armagh Golf Club's Lady Captain's Day took place on Saturday 22 June when ladies competed in glorious sunshine and with perfect golfing conditions for an array of beautiful prizes chosen by Lady Captain Moya. Thanks to the Greens Convenor, Greens-Staff and volunteers the course was in excellent condition and whilst it proved incredibly challenging for many, evident in the competition standard scratch of 73, the winner of the Lady Captain's prize, Bernie Rice had no such difficulties.

Family, friends, invited guests and members attended the traditional coffee morning, hosted by Lady Captain Moya, at which members of the Ladies' Committee served refreshments accompanied with scones and traybakes which had been generously provided by Johnston's bakery. Beautiful flower arrangements created by a number of very talented lady members set-off the recently refurbished clubhouse.
In her address Lady Captain Moya expressed her sincere thanks to all those who had contributed to the huge success of the day, including those who helped to prepare the course, the clubhouse and the flower arrangements. She also thanked Johnston's Bakery, the caterers and bar manager and staff for the food and refreshments.
For their support and assistance throughout the year, Moya thanked Club Professional, Will, the Ladies' Committee, the Junior Girls' Convenor, Team Captains and loyal sponsors.
Moya also thanked everyone for their generous contribution to her chosen charity – Cancer Fund for Children.
A special word of thanks was extended to her family - husband Turlough, daughter Nicola and sons Shea and Niall.
