The Ladies Summer Open Stableford held on Thursday 9th August was again very generously sponsored by Johnston's Bakery . Lady Captain Elizabeth Mawhinney welcomed everyone to the prize giving ceremony including visitors from Loughall, Dungannon and Rossmore . The Lady Captain was delighted that Hilary Johnston was present to represent her family business who are established and loyal supporters of the club and to present the fabulous prizes which she had sourced from Wil Carey in the Pro Shop.

The top prize and beautiful salver went to Cath Murray with an excellent score of 41 points just ahead of Breda Teahan who returned 40 points. Third place went to Joy Steenson with 39 points beating Rene Calvert on a countback.

The Gross prize was won by Ellen Brady with 29 gross points.

The categories were also highly contested.

The 9-hole competition was won by Ita Devenney with 21 points beating Ruth Beckett's 20 points tally into second place.

Twos were returned by Ellen Brady @ 11 th , Phil McKenna @ 7 th and Sylvia Ashe @ 11 th .

Birdies were recorded by Ellen Brady 4 @ 16 th , Teresa McVeigh and Alexandra Mawhinney 4s @ 12 th , Renee Calvert and Siobhan Donnelly 3s @ 6 th .

A delighted Cath Murray thanked her playing partners Mary and Ita, and Hilary for the fabulous prizes and also congratulated the course convenor and green staff on the superb playing conditions. Hilary Johnston congratulated all the prize winners and explained that Will in the Pro Shop indicated they can be exchanged for different sizes and or styles. She also indicated that its always a pleasure for Johnston's to sponsor events in the club and thanked everyone who supports their family business.
