AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

The annual McAnerney Open charity stableford was held on Thursday 15 th September. The sponsor, Mrs Catherine McAnerney, organised a coffee morning in the club house raising almost £1400 for Action Cancer and the Hospice. 71 ladies played in the competition which was sponsored by McAnerney's Supermarket, Armagh. The proud winner of the top prize, Sheila Stinson, had a magnificent score of 40 points.

Mary Black was second with 38 points and Eileen Fitzsimons third with 37 points. Ellen Brady had the best gross with 28 gross points. The categories were as follows:

Category A: Bernie Rice 36 points

Category B: Karen Edgar 36 points

Category C: Jacqueline Kelly 34 points

Category D: Breda Tehan 36 points

9 hole: Pauline Muldoon

Front 9: Lynne Brown 20 points (beating Teresa McVeigh and Breda Tehan on countback)

Back 9: Natasha McKeown 19 points (beating Geraldine Rafferty on countback)

Visitor's Prize: Nora Gormley

Men's Prize: Johnny Palmer 36 points

At prize giving, Catherine congratulated all the winners and thanked everyone for their generous support for the charities.
