53 ladies played in the Club Stableford on Thursday 11 th August. The runaway winner with a superb 44 points was Katherine Steenson. Runner-up was Colette McSorley with 39 points and Aoife Lennon came in third with 37 points.
The categories were as follows:
Category A: Frances Davidson 36 points (beating Hilary Johnston on the better back 9)
Category B: Elizabeth Mawhinney 34 points
Category C: Sheila Stinson 36 points (beating Jacqueline Kelly on the better back 9)
Category D: Mary Knott 25 points (beating Patricia Hughes and Ann Attwell on the better back 9)
Front 9: Brigid McEneaney 22 points
Back 9: Catherine McAnerney 18 points (beating Donna Carolan, Bernie Rice and Helen Foster on countback)
Augusta Jennings won the 9 hole competition.
