The sun shone on County Armagh Golf Club for the coveted Armaghdale Cup on Satuday 6th September.
The open competition attracted 127 ladies including 35 visitors from across the province including Dungannon, Tandragee, Scrabo, Portadown and Mannan Castle. The sponsors Davidson Business Services provided an array of beautiful prizes and it was all to play for. The conditions were perfect for good scoring and the results reflected that.
The visitors prize went to Ms Karen Shaw from Tandragee with a score of nett 76. Front and back nine winners were Mrs Joan Reid (Dungannon) 30.5 and Mrs Audrey Kellett 37 respectively.
The Category prizes were tightly contested with Category D going to Mrs Rita Grimley nett 74, Category C Mrs Fionnuala Quinn nett 74, Category B Mrs Siobhan Donnelly nett 74 and Category A Mrs Ellen Brady with nett 73.
Miss Gillian Poole collected fifth prize with a nett 72 whilst a nett 71 was carded by both Miss Carina Oliver and Mrs Renee Calvert claiming fourth and third place. A delighted Mrs Teresa McVeigh received the Gross prize with a score of 82. A count back separated the runner up Miss Mary Black and the winner Ms Celia Devlin (Dungannon) both on a nett 68.
Mrs Francis Davidson presented the delighted winners with their fabulous prizes and thanked the ladies for taking part. Miss Mary Black thanked Mrs Davidson on behalf of the ladies for the beautiful prizes and continued generous sponsorship.
