AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

Thirty nine ladies played in the 9 hole stableford competition on Thursday last in very mixed weather conditions, with the early birds getting the better part of the day. The winners however all played during a steady drizzle of rain in the afternoon but it did not dampen their enthusiasm. The winner Carina Oliver had a fantastic score of 23 points closely followed by Barbara Hamilton 22 points and 3rd place went to a count back. Brigid McEnaney just edged out Barbara Gartland to take the final prize.

The lady captain Hillary Johnston welcomed all the ladies to the first prize giving of the year and she congratulated all the winners. Hillary also thanked all the members who took part in the recent indoor putting competition which was a great success. The winning team was captained by Brendan Smyth and the runners up were led by Shea Brady. Three great nights of putting took place in the clubhouse which was very generously sponsored by 24/7 Oil Co and Ellen's Plaice Keady.
