AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

James Keenan, the CAGC Junior Captain had his Captain’s Day on Sunday 14th September. It was wonderful to see so many Juveniles taking part in the 9 and 18 hole Stableford Competition. There was also a 4 hole challenge for the Juveniles without a handicap.

After competing in the competition the Juveniles were treated to a delicious meal, very kindly provided by the Parkland Restaurant before being awarded with their prizes.

This year Fiachra O’ Donnghaile was presented with the Jim Kirk Perpetual Trophy for the overall 18 hole winner. This new Trophy will be presented annually to the 18 hole winner on Junior Captain’s Day!

The event was attended by Lady Captain Frances Davidson and Mr Captain, Ian O’Hea.

A special word of thanks goes to Lady Vice Captain Julie Mc Carten, Juvenile convenor, for all her help and support in organising the competitions throughout the year and especially the organising of the Junior Captain’s Day.
Also, thank you to Lady Member Catherine Vernon for all her assistance and support to Lady Vice Captain and all the Juveniles, it is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations and well done to all our Juveniles on their successful golfing season!
