Following prize-giving on Thursday 7 November, fellow lady golfer Mrs Ita Devenney gave a cookery demonstration of traditional Thanksgiving dishes.

During an informative and entertaining demonstration Ita explained how to make pumpkin soup and brisket stew and made dumplings, corn bread, pumpkin pie and eggnog.

In true celebrity-chef style, Ita had ‘one I prepared earlier’ which allowed those present to enjoy samples of the pumpkin soup and corn bread; brisket stew and dumplings; pumpkin pie, washed down with the eggnog she made on the night.

Two lucky ladies left with oven-ready corn bread and pumpkin pie.
