Paddy's a stableford winner

PADDY Darragh battled difficult conditions to win the club stableford compeitition on Sunday with an impressive 43 points.

Steady scoring, including a birdie three at the par four fourth hole, amassed 23 points from the front nine, and with a sprinkling of pars, bogeys and double bogey at the last hole he added a further 23 points for a grand and winning total 43points.

J Sheehan was just a point behind him after nine holes - on 22 - and like Paddy with a double bogey at the last, added a further 20 points for his 42 and runners up prize.

D Coulter's par at the 18th ironically secured him 23 points over the back nine holes, but he had just 18points from the front nine and had to settle for third prize on the day.

Meanwhile, steady as ever, Brendan Toner deservedly picked up fourth prize with 41 points.
