Davy Spratt’s Junior Cowdy team produced a fine performance to emerge from the opening leg of their tie against Dungannon with the scores level at 2-2.
With the home leg to come on Sunday, Davy’s lads are in a great position to progress to next round.
The Pierce Purcell Cup team lost out 3-2 against Ashfield. Winners on the day were John Lowe/Davy Baird and Paul Wasson/Ian Millar.
