AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

Paddy Digby was recently presented with the Pat Russell Memorial Trophy at County Armagh Golf Club.

Paddy’s solid Wednesday Open showings ensured his qualification for the last 16 of the event contested by those members aged 50 and above.

And in those knockout stages, the five-handicapper eventually scored a final defeat of Eamon Connolly to seal his overall glory.

Digby’s achievement should be a source of great gratification and it follows the fine example set by 2018 winner, Cormac O’Hare.

Meanwhile, Connolly’s creditable runner-up berth is his second in a row in the much-respected matchplay tournament.
