KEVIN Ward was in fine form to tackle the blustery wind during the final stableford competition of Open Week at County Armagh.
And returning 43 points he was the deserving winner.
The 17-handicapper produced some steady scoring – 22 points from the front nine holes and a further 21 on the back nine for his winning total.
Juvenile Captain Lee Campbell (5) bowed to Kevin with his 41 points – 23 and 21 front and back nine holes respectively, but was equally a deserved runner up.
Kieran Grimley's 39 points – with a ‘no-score' at the 7 th hole – earend him first prize in Category 1.
In Category 2 I was Oisin Gill who led the way, his 36 points winning on the day.
And in Category 3, Aidan McParland claimed the prize with 35 points.
