AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

ANDREW Clarke had a smile as broad as the first fairway at County Armagh after winning the Webster Cup.

The 13 handicapper carded a gross 78 to lift the coveted trophy, played for annually by the club’s 10-18 handicappers in a scratch competition.

Andrew Clarke is presented with the Webster Cup by County Armagh Golf Club Captain Martin Oliver. Paddy Burns collected the Best Nett score prize.

In blustery conditions Andrew was just three over par after nine holes and although he dropped a further five shot across the back nine, his gross 78 score proved the best on the day.

Michael McGuirk (11) was runner up, returning a gross 79 – his round including a birdie 4 at the par 5 12 hole and unfortunate double bogeys at the par five 8th and par four 14th holes.

Club Honorary Secretary Paddy Burns collected the Best Nett Prize after carding a nett 68.
