Clive motors to Open win
CLIVE Graham was two shots better than the rest of the huge field in the Open Stroke competition which previewed Open Week at County Armagh Golf Club.
His nett 61 took the honours in the Motor Electric sponsored event leaving the rest of the field trailing way back.
Michael McClelland and Richard Stewart were his nearest challengers, each returning excellent scores of nett 63, but they were still well short of Clive's winning score and after countback were resigned to second and third respectively.
Anthony Conlon and Michael Brunsdon also had to be separated on countback after signing for scores of nett 64.
John Lowe was a further shot adrift on nett 65 to collect the sixth prize and Simon Robinson collected the final prize with a nett 66.
Conor McGurgan produced the best Gross score.
