PADDY Digby is being tipped as favourite to lift the Pat Russell Memorial Trophy after topping the County Armagh Golf Club Seniors competition qualifying table for the final week.

With 95 points chalked up over the 12 week qualifying period, Paddy is already guaranteed his place in the 36-hole finals in September.

Only Pascal Toner on 87 points can catch Paddy as the competition enters its final week.

The top 30 senior golfers from the club will qualify for the finals but with the weekly league table showing a plethora of players in with a shout, an exciting climax is anticipated.
