Outgoing Club Captain Brendan Smyth made the presentation during his New Year’s Day send-off in the clubhouse.

John-George’s 38 stableford points was one more than the rest of the field of hardy golfers who braved the elements during the four-day festive 15-hole competition.

Leo King was runner up with 37 points, his better back nine earning him the prize, with Category prizes going to Kenny Edgar (36pts), Alan Pedlow (35pts) who also received a special prize for a hole-in-one at the third hole, Paddy Burns (37pts), Johnny Palmer (35pts), Michael McKenzie (34pts) and Daryl Lawson (33pts).
