Sixty-one ladies, including seven visitors, competed in the prestigious Armaghdale Open Stroke competition held at Co Armagh Golf Club on Saturday 3 September 2022. One of the ‘majors’ at Co Armagh, the Armaghdale competition was once again very generously sponsored by Gerard and Frances Davidson T/A Business Account Services Accountants and Auditors.
The good weather continued for those playing in the September Medal competition at County Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 1 September, which was very generously sponsored by Anette Foster, Ol Flowers, Armagh. Forty-eight ladies played 18 holes and a further fifteen played 9 holes.
The Ian Donaldson Stableford was held at Co Armagh on Thursday 25 August. Fifty-two ladies played in the 18-hole competition with a further 11 ladies entering the 9-hole competition.
Patricia Hughes was first with a fantastic 44 pts, just one clear of Maggie McKee, with 43 points. With 41 pts Eileen Fitzsimons too third place.

Cat C – Jacqueline Kelly 40 pts beating Gemma Rice on countback
Cat D – Gladys Villiers 36 pts
Anne Murphy won the 9 hole competition with a superb 24 pts, beating Marie Tennyson on countback.
Denise Murphy recorded the only two, at the 7th, and there were birdies for Mary Black at the 5th, Maggie McKee at the 5th and 12th, Hilary Johnston at the 14th, Colette McAleavey and Ellen Brady at the 15th and Aoife Lennon at the 17th.

The favourable playing conditions and run on the ball continued for the August Medal competition at County Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 18 August.
Fifty-three ladies competed for the Centenary Trophy at Co Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 11 August, which was very generously sponsored by Dante’s.
There was a fantastic response to Co Armagh Golf Club’s 2022 GIG programme, which was fully subscribed. The programme kicked off with an induction evening way back in May and the conclusion of the formal programme was on Tuesday 9 August.
The first of the ladies’ Open Week competitions, held at Co Armagh Golf Club on Monday 1 August, was a 3-Ball Scramble. Twenty-four teams took part in the competition which was sponsored by Le Jardin Luxury Spa, The Linen Green, Dungannon.
Co Armagh Golf Club’s Lady Captain’s Day took place on Saturday 30 July when ladies competed for an array of beautiful prizes chosen by Lady Captain Karen.
