DESPITE a ‘no-score' at the 10 th hole, Stephen McGarvey's 41 points was still the best on the day in the recent Alexander Mills sponsored stableford competition at County Armagh.
Apart from that unfortunate blip, it was steady scoring both front (21 points) and back nine (20 points) which clinched the top prize for Stephen (18).

MARTIN Gill's superb birdie at the final hole clinched the Allen Cup at County Armagh.
The five-handicapper rolled in an excellent putt for a ‘3' on the 18 th green to complete a superb nett 66 in the JR McMahon sponsored annual stroke competition.

A BIRDIE at the 17 th hole was simply the cherry on the cake for Gary Lappin in the Johnston's Bakery sponsored June Medal competition at County Armagh.
Returning a winning score nett 62, the 10 handicapper's one under par back nine finish deservedly clinched the coveted Medal.

TWO-handicapper Andrew Millar produced his season's best score – a magnificent nett 64 - to win the recent Club stroke competition at County Armagh.
A hat-trick of birdies at the 5 th , 6 th and 7 th holes saw the Killylea painter and decorator on his way to a three under par front nine. And with a further birdie at the 12 th part of a one under par back nine, his nett 64 was indeed an outstanding winning score.
Runner up was Honorary Secretary Paddy Burns (14), two shots adrift on nett 66.

Recently it has been noted that a number of players have not returned their scores in Qualifying Competitions.
Players are reminded, all scorecards in Qualifying Competitions whether or not complete with a score for every hole, must be returned to the organising committee and computer entries made as required.
Members are asked to adhere to this rule, as failure to do so may result in suspension of handicaps.
