There was a great turnout this year for Lady Captain's Day on Saturday 27 th June at County Armagh Golf Club. Members and visitors alike experienced glorious weather and the course was in magnificent condition for the big event.
The overall winner of the Lady Captain's prize was Catherine McAnerney with a fabulous score of 41 points.
Runner up was Lorraine Abbott also with 41 points and Teresa McVeigh won the Gross prize with 25 gross points.
There was a great turn out for the Ian Donaldson Stableford competition which was held on 25 th June. Mary Black was a worthy overall winner with a magnificent score of 40 points. Anne McDonald came second beating Lily McMullan on the back nine with 36 points.

The Fox and Culmore Stroke Competition was very generously sponsored this year by Daily Bake. The weather was glorious on the day as sixty ladies competed for the beautiful prizes. Sheila Sinton who presented the prizes said they were delighted to be associated with this competition and thanked all the ladies for the great turnout. Valarie Gordon and Catherine McAnerney were the overall winners of the competition.

The Daisy Ferguson Greensomes competition took place this week and was again very generously sponsored by Wrights Interiors, Russell Street Armagh. 60 Ladies competed in mixed weather conditions. Carolyn McCall and Lorraine Abbott were the outright winners with a score of 39 narrowly beating Ellen Brady and Valarie Gordon who had a combined score of 38 points.

McKinneys Timber of Railway Street Armagh sponsored a range of beautiful garden furniture for the Sinton Cup which was held on Thursday 21 st May. The weather was great for the 60 ladies who played in the competition. Mrs Sheila Hughes who represented McKinneys Timber and presented the prizes, thanked everyone for their support on the day.

The wind and the rain did not deter the 71 ladies who played in the Spring Open on Monday 11 th May. Colette McSorley had a great score of 37 points beating Sylvia Ashe and Gail Steed. Standard scratch was 74. This annual competition is generously sponsored by Mark Hawthorne from Lila's Shop in Scotch Street Armagh. A number of ladies travelled from other clubs to play. The prizes were presented by Amy Hawthorne who represented Mark on the night. The Lady Captain Margaret Marjoram in her speech gave a special welcome to the visitors and thanked the sponsor for his continuing support .
