The MacMillan Charity Competition was held on Thursday 7th May. 57 ladies competed for an excellent arrange of prizes provided by the sponsor
V. Mone & Son, Keady. Prizes were presented by Mrs Ann Mone. Rene Calvert came first with 36 points beating Colette McSorley with a better score on the back nine. Standard scratch was 71.

The Millennium Bowl and McCall Shield competitions were played for on Thursday 30th April. Geraldine Rafferty won the Millennium Bowl with a net score of 70 and Colette McSorley won the McCall Shield with a net score of 71.

The popular Parker Bowl Competition was again this year generously sponsored by Mr. Arnold Courtney. It proved to be a challenging competition for the 57 ladies who competed for this much sought after prize.

The ladies were treated to a lovely day last Thursday for the Peggy Nelson competition. Over 60 Ladies played for the honour of representing the club at the district final in Dunmurray in July and there were some fantastic scores.
Lady captain Margaret congratulated the three category winners who were:- Mrs June Humphries, 36 points, Mrs Gina Morris, 34 points and Mrs Nicola Spence, 43 points.
Runners up were: Categary A - Mrs Teresa McVeigh,36 points. Category B - Mrs Helen Forster,34 points, Mrs Gail Steed, 33 points,and Mrs Anne Mone,33 points Category C - Mrs Joan Lappin,34 points, Mrs Elizabeth Mawhinney, 34 points, and Mrs Catherine McAnerney, 34 points.
Nine Hole competition was won by Mrs Marie Wilson with 20 points.
This was, once again, very kindly sponsored by O'Kanes Flowers and Lady Captain Margaret thanked them for the beautiful floral arrangements.
Past Lady Captain Mrs Maura O’Neill recently presented a silver salver to Lady Vice Captain Una Cullinane.
Mrs O'Neill was delighted to meet with some of the ladies at the club and enjoyed the warm welcome she received. The salver is in memory of her late husband Mr John O’Neil, a former member and well respected local surgeon. Mrs O’Neill has requested this be used for a Mixed Foursomes competition.
The Ladies Branch extend their thanks and appreciation to Mrs O’Neill for this very generous gesture.
Young Aoife scooped the winning prize in the Mary Peters Competition with a magnificent score of 41 points. Over 70 ladies playedl in glorious sunshine on Thursday 9 th April. When presenting the prizes, Lady Vice Captain Una Cullinane thanked everyone for supporting the competition and extended her warm congratulations to all the winners. Results were as follows:
