Lady Captain Ellen Brady welcomed ladies to prizegiving for both the Spring League, sponsored by Ellen’s Fish and Chips and April Medal, sponsored by Baps R Us on Thursday 25 April 2024.
Spring League
Spring League commenced on Thursday 1 February and was played over 6 weeks, with the best four scores counting. The winners were:

Receiving the shield and 1st prize Paula thanked Lady Captain Ellen for her generous sponsorship of the competition. This was a back-to-back Spring League win for Paula.
April Medal
There were only 13 holes open for the April Medal at Co Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 25 April and thanks to the recent dry spell the condition of the course was very much improved. Thirty-eight ladies took part in the competition, played over holes 1-4, 7, 8 and 12-18, which was the first stroke competition of the season and the top 16 qualified for the Eileen Steenson matchplay competition.
The competition was won by Gail Steed with nett 48. Paula McCrory was second with nett 52. Past Lady Captain Lily McMullan won the gross prize with gross 60 and Gillian Poole was third with nett 53.

Cat B – Anne Kinsella nett 55
Cat C – Moya Brady nett 53
Cat D – Donna Carolan nett 54
Due to the changes to holes open on the alternate days of Sunday and Tuesday there was both an 8 and 9 hole competition and 7 ladies entered each.
The 8 hole competition was won by Audrey Kellet and the 9 hole competition by Carina Oliver with 18 pts.
The only two of the day was recorded by Fionnuala Quinn on the 18th.
Apologies had been received by Gail, however, Paula thanked the sponsors Baps R U for the very generous sponsorship of the competition.
Eileen Steenson Memorial Bowl
The top sixteen ladies in the April Medal qualified for the Eileen Steenson Memorial Bowl match play competition. The draw resulted in the following matches which are to be played by 27th May:
