Pictured on the 16th tee are Art O’Hagan from hole sponsors, CPS Property, and County Armagh Golf Club Vice Captain, Declan McReynolds.

A drive that faces immediately into an upslope, tree trouble on either side, two daunting water hazards, and a treacherously angled green that runs off to the front and left ... the 16th is a slog!

CAGC’s longest par 4 is its most difficult hole full stop. And although its classification as a par 5 from the red markers affords ladies a little more leeway, few players of any description greet a bogey at the Lakes with anything other than sheer relief.
